New paper explains measurements at ultra-high pressures and ultra-low temperatures

It wasn't that long ago that Raf was a grad student working on pressure-driven magnetic quantum phase transitions. This new paper in Review of Scientific Instruments details some of the methodology that was developed to measure magnetism and electronic transport at pressures exceeding 100,000 atm and temperatures below 1 K. The next time you see "non-magnetic stainless steel" in a catalog, ask the vendor about residual magnetization at 100 mK!
