I grew up in Los Fresnos, Texas and graduated from Johns Hopkins University in 2014 with a B.S. in Materials Science and Engineering. I went on to do a MPhil in Physics at Cambridge University. Currently my research interests are in complex chalcogenide synthesis. I enjoy the outdoors, cooking and music. I play trombone and am a member of the MIT Festival Jazz Ensemble. In my spare time I am learning 5-string clawhammer banjo.
I came from Nanjing, China and finished my Math and Physics Bachelor degrees in University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign at 2016. My current research project is to grow 2D material by MBE (Molecular Beam Epitaxy). I have various interests including travelling, watching movies, cooking, Tai Chi, Beijing Opera and black teas.
